How the fellowship works

• Three months in IstanbulIntensive training at LIV Hospital, Istanbul, conducted by an international faculty.
• No program feeFellows cover their own living expenses: flights, accommodation, food and health insurance.
• Certificate of completionAwarded after passing both the didactic and skills tests.

Fellowship quarters

Before you apply

• The fellowship is open to pulmonologists and thoracic surgeons worldwide.
• Review the fellowship requirements, curriculum and skills testing document.
• Plan to remain in Istanbul for the full three months.
• Arrange support for your living expenses and health insurance; we encourage applicants to seek support from their governments, hospitals, or industry grants and scholarships.
• You may state a preferred quarter; placement is at the discretion of the IPI Fellowship Selection Committee.
• Accepted fellows receive a letter of acceptance for the Turkish visa; apply for the visa at least three months in advance.
