The Malaysian Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (MABIP) presents this assembly in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Malaysia, Serdang Hospital and Universiti Putra Malaysia.

The objective of the assembly is to educate pulmonologists and fellows on the principles and practice of interventional pulmonology.

The course will be presented by a team of local and overseas experts.

The first day consists of lectures while the second day will focus on live cases. Video presentation will be held on the second day to give opportunity to fellows to present their work in therapeutic bronchoscopy and pleuroscopy. Hands-on workshop will be held in the afternoon of each day.

Who should attend: Pulmonologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, fellows, general physicians, medical officers and endoscopy nurses.

At the end of the assembly, participants should have:
1. A sound knowledge of the airway anatomy
2. Fundamentals of medical thoracoscopy
3. Hands-on experience in rigid bronchoscope intubation
4. Basic approach to advanced diagnostic techniques
5. Basic understanding of indications and contraindications of interventional pulmonology
